ABOUT
Professor Paul Holland
With over 30 years’ experience across industry and higher education, I bring a rare combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and deep understanding of organisational dynamics.
Throughout my career, I have led teams, departments, and strategic initiatives, developing strong capabilities in communication, negotiation, diplomacy, and relationship-building. I understand first-hand the pressures leaders and teams face and how easily workplace tensions can escalate when not addressed early and constructively.
I have seen the significant personal and organisational cost of unresolved conflict. When issues are left to formal processes alone, outcomes can be slow, adversarial, damaging, and often resolving the procedural issue without truly repairing working relationships.
Workplace mediation offers a different path.
When introduced early, mediation creates a safe, structured space for honest conversation. It enables individuals to be heard, rebuild understanding, and reach practical, mutually acceptable agreements that allow teams to move forward with renewed clarity and trust.
I trained and practise as a workplace mediator because I believe strongly in the power of constructive dialogue. My approach is calm, impartial, and solution-focused. I work with organisations to help colleagues rebuild professional relationships, restore confidence, and create the conditions for effective teamwork.

Mediation Services and Costs
I offer workplace mediation services globally online and in-person for England and Wales. A free 30-minute consultation is always included so we can discuss whether mediation is the most appropriate resolution method for the conflict and if so to arrange the next steps. Further details about the next steps and different services are below.
In-person One Day Mediation
In-person mediation is offered for England and Wales only. All mediations start with an introductory phone call with each party to explain the process, role of the mediator and requirement for confidentiality. On the day of the on-site mediation, each party will meet with the mediator separately in pre-meetings to prepare for the joint meeting with the other party. The mediator will then facilitate the joint meeting, a safe space where the parties can discuss and work through the issues in their dispute. In the majority of cases, mediation results in a positive outcome and written agreement.
Online One Day Mediation
The one day online mediation service follows the same format as the in-person mediation but is typically used by organisations whose staff operate online or have branches in geographically diverse locations where staff travel may be prohibitive and require overnight stays. Special consideration is given to staff wellbeing to ensure they are well supported in the online environment.
Online Two Day Mediation
The two day online mediation is typically for global organisations operating over significant time differences. Here the pre-meetings are conducted on day one with times suitable for each time zone. The joint meeting is conducted on day two at a mutualy agreed time.
Mediation Costs: A one day mediation is £1,500 + travel expenses for in-person mediations. This price includes the intials discussion (with no obligation to proceed further), introductory calls and post mediation check-in.
A 20% discount is offered to organisations for their first mediation case.
